Take Advantage Of Advanced Health Care

Mexico is way ahead of the U.S. in some ways

Dr. Victor Ocegueda, medical director of PRmedia, specializes in regenerative medicine and his best tools in this specialty are ozone therapy, hyperbaric therapy, and chelation. We are going to explain each of these to you so you can determine if you can benefit from any of these proceedures which many people have found life changing. The next step would be to make an appointment for an evaluation with Dr. Ocegueda. These therapies are expertly and legally performed right here in Spa Cielo in San Jose.

Ozone therapy has been studied and used for more than a century. Its effects are proven, consistent, and safe to treat infected wounds, circulatory disorders, geriatric conditions, macular degeneration of the eye, viral diseases, rheumatism/arthritis, cancer, SARS and AIDS. Yes, it’s a super healer, and very well established as such.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen. It is a well-established treatment for decompression sickness, a hazard of scuba diving. Other conditions treated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy include serious infections and wounds that won't heal as a result of diabetes or radiation injury. It is excellent for anemia, brain abscess, burns, crushing injury, gangrene, infection of skin or nonhealing wounds, such as a diabetic foot ulcer, radiation injury, skin graft, and vision loss.

In a hyperbaric chamber, the air pressure is increased to three times higher than normal air pressure, increasing the amount of oxygen your blood can carry. Under these conditions, your lungs can gather more oxygen than would be possible breathing pure oxygen at normal air pressure.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy typically is performed as an outpatient procedure and doesn't require hospitalization. In PRMedica’s three person hyperbaric oxygen room such as at Spa Cielo, it kind of looks like a large hospital room, and you may sit or lie down. For most conditions, you hang out about two hours in this room, so bring a magazine. Members of your health care team will monitor you and the therapy unit throughout your treatment.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is often used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan and administered with other therapies and procedures that fit your individual needs.

Chelation therapy is used to remove heavy metals from the body. Chelation has a long history and is valuable for some very specific medical treatments.

Chelation therapy is the preferred treatment for metal poisoning, including acute mercury, iron, arsenic, lead, uranium, plutonium and other forms of toxic metal poisoning. It may be administered intravenously, or under your skin, or orally, depending on the agent and the type of poisoning you have. You can get this poisoning by such means as eating sea food that has mercury, or drinking water that we’re finding to have more arsenic than is healthy for us.

For the most common forms of heavy metal – lead, arsenic, or mercury – a number of chelating agents are available. These drugs work by binding to heavy metals in the body. They are then excreted.

Many people who have used chelation therapy regularly feel that it helps them remain more energetic and immune to common illnesses, environmental toxins and stress. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of chelation therapy for treating lead poisoning.

Chelation can also assist with management of chronic diseases as it has the ability to “bind” to metals that build up in the blood, major organs and blood vessels.

Some chelating agents have been well-researched and proven to rid toxins from the body without the need for expensive surgeries and risky medications.

Some of the most common symptoms of heavy metal toxicity include chronic fatigue,   “brain fog” and trouble concentrating, autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders and cognitive decline, joint or muscle pain, and mood changes, including depression and anxiety

Chelation therapy sessions take several hours to complete and are performed under the direction of Dr. Victor Ocegueda at Spa Cielo, while you relax in a Lazy Boy chair, and gaze at the Sea of Cortez. The treatment is very relaxing, calming, and even inspiring.

Most patients need between 5 to 30 treatments for best results. Each treatment session involves insertion of an intravenous (IV) to administer liquid EDTA, usually into a vein located in the hand or arm.

The procedure isn’t painful for most people, but as with all injections, it’s possible to feel some burning, redness or swelling at the injection site. There isn’t much recovery time needed after the procedure and most patients are free to drive themselves home and go about their normal day.

Some people report needing to urinate more than usual following chelation therapy, which can be beneficial considering this is how heavy metals leave the body.

Latest News about Stem Cells. Consider the benefits of stem cell therapy. A stem cell procedure is non-surgical, non-invasive, with no general anesthesia, and takes about 30 minutes from start to finish. It fixes your knees and all your joints, it’s cheaper, easier, and, why not avoid all that pain? With the recent advances in stem cell therapy, and its growing use to treat joint pain, stem cell therapy is becoming one of the most popular alternatives to surgery.

Stem cells are the foundation cells for every organ and tissue in our bodies. It is the name given to a category of cells which can divide indefinitely without losing their properties and can produce specialized cells. Stem cell therapy uses stem cells that are derived from the patient’s fat cells and bone marrow, or from a donor, and are injected into the damaged area. These cells naturally supplement the body’s stem cells and help the injury heal.

Adult stem cells are found throughout the body, inside different types of tissue such as the bone marrow, brain, blood, blood vessels, skeletal muscles, skin, and the liver. They remain in a dormant or non-dividing state for years until activated by disease or tissue injury. These soldier stem cells can be guided into becoming specific cells that can be used to repair diseased or damaged tissues. Stem cell therapy can particularly benefit people who suffer from degenerative joint disease such as osteoarthritis. It can even rejuvenate your facial skin, making you look fresher, younger.

Immediately after the procedure you can use the joint normally, and follow up treatments of PRP are given, as required, to encourage the stem cells to continue their work. The rate of improvement depends on the patient’s previous condition, and in general, improvement is documented between 30% to 90%.  PRMedica are specialists in stem cell therapy.
