Another New Development In Cerritos: Olas de Cerritos Hotel

Olas de Cerritos Hotel

The cheerful and charming Olas de Cerritos Hotel recently received the Trip Advisor number one ranking in the Bed & Breakfast category in the Cerritos/Pescadero area. (Olas is Spanish for waves.) Only two years old, the ranking is a testament to the hotels’ popularity with happy guests who’ve been talked into rating the place.

There are eight comfortable, clean, quiet rooms on two floors with king size beds, daybeds, private bathrooms with towels and toiletries, solar powered ceiling fans (no A/C), and a security box.

Four of the rooms have kitchenettes equipped with dishes and utensils for cooking. The second floor rooms feature lovely Pacific Ocean views.

This largely appeals to surfer types, and  provides free use of their boogie boards, beach umbrellas, chairs and tables to take to the beach, which is a five minute walk from the hotel.

Pescadero native Cornelio Mendoza is a co-owner and the builder of this family run hotel.  His warm hospitality greets all guests in perfect English, and ensures everyone feels at home. He is happy to help guests discover and book local activities including surfing lessons, full surf equipment rental, bike tours, horseback riding, training surf fitness, yoga, and spa treatments. Hmmm.....can’t picture a surfer dude in a yoga class but one assumes the dudes sometimes have dudettes with them.

The Olas de Cerritos Hotel rooms start at $50 to $60, depending on the season and a continental breakfast is included in the room price.  They have a special promotion for August where guests can reserve four nights for the price of three this month only. ,
